1. PROSLIDE II Database and Image Management Software : Proslide II for Windows combines a suite of database and Labeling tools tailored for Image Management. The heart of PROSLIDE II is a full featured Database that enables you to catalog image information in any way you like. In the Database Workshop screen, you enter and edit data, as well as, perform powerful searches and sequencing of image data. The Database Workshop also includes several data entry 'short cut' tools including automatic sequential numbering, lookup lists and a ditto feature. PROSLIDE II includes a Report Designer which allows custom design of database reports (simple lists, invoices, delivery memos) that include summary database information along with text, borders, shading, headers and footers. PROSLIDE II's Labeling feature allows printing on any sheet label that fits into a printer, including ELLENCO's unique 35mm slide labels and strip labels. Many other types of labels also can be printed including address, VCR, cassette labels, rolodex cards...you name it. Printing on the labels can include borders, shading, graphic images, business logos, and horizontal and vertical text. You can create labels from database information, or you can make labels in a quick Keyboard Entry Session. PROSLIDE II is designed to be intuitive, its components are powerful and easy to use. The Database PROSLIDE II's Database Designer allows you to build completely customized databases. Create as many databases as you like. One for images, another for customers, perhaps one for your VCR collection. PROSLIDE II comes with a sample Image database named "Photofil" - use for your images, change its structure to better suit your needs, or start from scratch and create your own. Fields contain the information in a database. You can have as many fields as you like, and you can name them whatever you need. ID NUMBER, SUBJECT, LOCATION, SEASON, HORIZ/VERT, are all examples of fields. Fields can be Character, Number, Date, Float, Logical, Memo, even Graphic Pictures. The information that pertains to each image is called a 'record'. The number of records in a PROSLIDE II database is only limited by the size of your hard drive. Sort on any Field. Sort, then view your records sequenced alphabetically or numerically by any field in the database - DATE, ID, NUMBER, SUBJECT etc. Find any record in the sort instantly. Search. The Database WorkShop includes a powerful search engine that enables you to locate information based on unlimited search criteria. Compose searches easily in an interactive dialog box. For example, find all the records where SUBJECT = Deer, DATE < 02/13/1991 and SEASON = Fall. Report Generation. Use PROSLIDE II's Report Designer to build custom reports, from simple lists to invoices and delivery memos, using a visually interactive screen. Select which fields to print from the database then add column labels, blocks of word-processor text, headers, footers and title bars. Spruce up the report with borders and shading. Use the built-in functions to produce summary totals, automatic line numbering, math and statistics, automatic dates, and more. Import. Import text (ASCII) files into PROSLIDE II databases, or read any '.dbf' (data base format) file instantly. The databases created in PROSLIDE II are '.dbf' files so they can be read and used by other software products. Proslide II keeps tract of three automatically incrementing Sequential Numbers that you can use for easier data entry into the database. The sequential number can be any number of digits, and can include a decimal place. You can also directly enter complicated number/letter combinations. Lookup Lists. These are lists of frequently used characters, words or sentences that you find yourself referring to, or typing, over and over again. Enter a frequently used list item directly into a database record by simply browsing and clicking on the list. Lookup lists provide for consistent spelling for entered data. Lookup lists can be used to keep track of categories. Use the ditto feature to instantly duplicate records for images whose information is the same, or nearly the same. Such as bracketed shots of the same subject. Labeling Captions any Label. Choose from a list of commonly available 'predefined' label types, or create a new label type in a visually interactive screen. Unlimited Label Formats. Layout the label using borders, shading, graphic images, business logos, and horizontal and vertical text. Specify information that will be the same on every label, such as your name and address. Specify information that will change on each label. This information can be input from a database, the keyboard, or imported from other software. Save your formats to use over and over again. |
